What's the best way to clean out the coolant overflow tank?

My tank has lots of orange-ish crap built up in it. I've used a long brush to clean most of it out of the easily accessible compartments but I'd like to get it all out. Since it's glued together there's no way to disassemble it. Does anyone know what I can soak the tank in to dissolve those deposits?
Should I try one of the radiator cleaners? Maybe I can close off one end and fill the tank with undiluted radiator flush for a couple hours? FYI, the tank is detached from the car right now so I'm pretty free to try anything.

Ive never tried to clean either of the ones Ive had. I found it easier to just buy a new one. My old ones were hard to see through, but you can try and clean it out.
I tossed a new one in the 4k a year ago with a new radiator and G11. Put a new one on the 4kq back in August when the WP/TB were done, put G12 in that sucker.
