I just got off the phone with ground control. I told them I want to purchase a set of coilovers for an 85 audi 4000q. He tells me "go call 2bennet automotive"... "they make a coilover kit for the audi 4000" so I asked, dont you guys make the same kit? and he replys "you can chose the spring rate at 2bennet" so I again asked dont you guys offer different spring rates aswell? He then claims "we dont test our product on the 4000q, go talk to 2bennet"...."we could sell you a kit with who knows what spring rate and you will probably end up slamming your car into a curb"
Mind you, its hard to express the cocky attitude they gave me through text. They may have a good product, but they do NOT know how to deal with customers. Well, so much for buying from ground control. That totally changed my respect for them.

They've got a deal with 2Bennett. If you know EXACTLY what you want, they'll sell you something. If you start asking them questions, they're going to direct you to the 'audi experts'. not saying it's your fault, but figure they get calls all the time asking for Audi/VW setups.
I had no such problems with Ground Control, and they're product proudly sits in my car.

Yes, that is understandable...and I dont have a problem with that. But I did not ask them a single question about spring rates before he told me to deal with 2b, I simply stated I need coilovers for my 85 4000q. That paired with the attitude he gave me, was not appropriate. Lets just say he could have handled it differently.

They dont stock kits directly for our car, but told you to go to 2B cause they order the right kits for the 4kq's and know what is needed.

Like I previously stated, its hard to express his emotion through text/writing. It was the way he delt with me as a customer, or lack of, that was ridiculous. He jumped to conclusions before he even knew what I was after.
Anyways, Ive got the coilovers taken car of.

Well, I ordered Konisport adjustables from eshocks.com for $605 with FREE shipping, pretty damn good deal if you ask me. I talked to GC, got fed up, then talked to 2b who were great to deal with. I told them exactly what I want and they suggested 350f 300r and gave me a break down of parts, told me it should arrive friday.
Overall, I think I made out fairly well. I don't mind spending a few extra bucks for a company who know how to treat their customers ;P
