Default wheels question ----- 16x7.5 ET35

Normally I'm against big wheels as i believe it takes away speed & power due to larger rotaitional diameter.

That being said....

Would a 16x7.5 ET35 OZ Racing Monte Carlos fit on a CGT?
I've liked the Montes for a while, and a set has come up cheap (I think, what are they going for nowadays?).
There's some curbage & tires are toast(afaik).

They are very similar in style to my 15" Momo's (in my autoX sig pic) & I think the older rims suit the CGT's very well.

I definately don't need more rims, as I probably am up to about 40 4x100 rims right now ( + another 12 4x108 rims).

Just thought that maybe it's time I got some bigger rims to add to my collection.

What do U guys think?
Do Monte Carlos look good on CGT's?
What's the going rate for a tireless set of 16x7.5 ET35 slighly curbed rims?

Thanks in advance for any info.

Default What you lose in off-the-line acceleration you make up in handling.

A fair trade, I'd say. Once you're moving and momentum builds, acceleration differences are negligible. The smaller, stiffer sidewall definitely helps cornering.

They should fit.

Default U don't think a 7.5" width w/ only ET35 offset would rub tie rods or something?

The inner rubbing is what i'm worried about, as I can always roll or pull the fenders.

Default huh???

if you have the proper combo, the total diameter is the same as stock wheel and tire.

Default this is true

Wheel gets taller tire gets shorter. Should equal out to stock. Biggest changes will be, stiffer ride and better handling.
