Default what are you looking to accomplish with a strut bar?

AFAIK, Jamex made the only after market strut tower bars for our cars. It bolts under the strut nut and then you need to drill and bolt into each strut tower. They are not sold new anymore, you need to watch e-bay, e-bay uk, audifans market place, and craigslist.

Back to my original question.... The strut bar is mainly used for holding the strut towers in place after many miles of abuse on the track. It maybe only slightly helps in handling. New springs struts, all bushings are a better way to spend money.

That being said, I have a jamex bar because I already did my suspenion. I only bolted it to the strut nut as I refuse to drill into my strut towers. I could have it welded, but im not ready for that step. So right now it's basically useless (besides looking cool) It's really just there cause I got a smokin good price on it and liked the looks.

Yeah, I was just wondering. I'm with you, I refuse to drill.

Default Jamex & DW & OEM strut bars for the CGT/4K exist...

I know cause I have a Jamex & DW in my CGT & 4KQS.

There are 2 versions of the Jamex bar that I have seen. The curved one that goes around the battery, and the "universal fit" straight one (which I have). Also 2Bennett offers one AFAIK, not sure which brand though.

Jamex straight bar

Default There were Sparco ones too...

Like this one that came installed by previous owner on my dd. This one has been drilled in 4 places with rivnuts inserted into the strut towers. Not sure if it does much but the car handles great.
