Default Was that the 7A conversion?

I thought that was pretty innovative.

Now that I own a 7A car (CQ), I can see where that would be pretty fun in a 4000, too.

Default Yep, that's the one.

20v, full 90q20v underpinnings, and also the gauge cluster.

Default The car currently is in Asheville, NC.....

...and it was sold back to the mechanic that built it, Lance Russell at Quattro South.

Full 7A engine swap with the gearbox, suspension from the 20v sedan, front seats, and brakes including ABS. Oh yeah, only the instrument cluster from the B3 was used, not the entire dashboard. Lance just chopped off the instrument cluster portion of the dash and screwed it into the 4k dash. It's really kooky looking IMO, but he needed the speedo from the 20v due to the 20v gearbox having the electronic speed sender.
