why does my car idle at 2000 rpm?
lately its getting worse, after some driving the car will idle at 1800-2000 rpm. when i start it up its fine, just over the 1000 mark and it stays that way even when its warmed up. but after i drive it when i stop at a light it idles high. sometimes i kick it down with the clutch but it wont settle under 1500. any ideas?

Problem I had once...
Don't settle it with the clutch, or you'll need one of those soon too.
A wacuum leak (usually) has an up and down idle. ISC could be the problem. Had an intermittant 3k idle on my car once, turned out that the ECU wasn't seeing the idle speed from the ignition module. New module took care of it.
