I had the same thing happen, and when I opened up the door panel I found a tangle of cable (from the regulator) and ended up having to hold the window up with a bolt until I could get a new one. That's one of those things that I wish they had designed better, along with the outside door handles and the clutch slave...

Default Replacement regulators...

Well, the Coupe/urq regulators are unique to these cars. Any year Coupe GT/urq will use the same regulator, as the doors remained the same throughout the model years. There are also aftermarket (worm gear style) replacement regulators available. AutohausAZ sells them. Looks like they sell for around $160 a piece. Here's the link:

http://www.autohausaz.com/search/pro...=1009000@COUPE CUSTOM&year=1985&cid=13@Body, Trim %26 Lighting&gid=10217@Window Regulator

And these after market models require a little modification to make them work. They work well enough, once they are installed. And you no longer have to worry about cables disintegrating like on the OEM models.

I hope this helps.

Good luck.
