The car is located in South east, WI

The good (abbreviated full list of what's newer is below):

The car starts and runs (I need to charge the battery).

It actually drives very nice and has actually been very reliable for me.

Comes with 2 sets of wheels, ASA 5 spokes with almost new Kumho ASX tires. Stock audi wheels with no tires mounted.

Comes with Bentley Service Manuals.

I'm pretty sure the bomb is good.

Has a big fancy stereo system. Probably worth more than the car.

The bad:
I don't think it would be reliable for a whole lot longer without some TLC.

I think it needs a thermostat. The car takes a long time to get up to operating temperature and is always on the low side.

Needs a new rear wheel bearing, passenger side I believe.

Needs a new power steering pump. One that is in there works but I believe it is weak (brake warning light comes on without fail) and it leaks.

Brake pedal is soft.

Leaks fuel while running. A previous owner tried to patch a hard fuel line with a rubber hose and it leaks a little gas while the car is running.

Passengers side mirror doesn't work, appears to have a mind of its own sometimes.

Sunroof needs to be adjusted to the correct closed position.

Some front end damage (as seen in the pictures)

Both front seats have seperated seams. Although overall I'd say the interior is in really good shape for a car of this age.

This car was my college car that I sold in 2005 and in early 2008 saw it up for sale and got nostalgic so I bought it back for $1500 thinking I could fix it up and drive it every day, turns out I'm too lazy for that so now it's sitting by the side of my house annoying my wife. This car MUST GO.

Ok so here's the good extended version
Since I bought it less than a year ago I have put new shocks on the rear (cheapy shocks from tirerack), and a new alternator (bosch).

The guy I last sold it to installed the following:

Door handles and trim
Heater valve
Rotors
Headlight (because of the accident)
Fuel Filter
Air filter
Exhaust welding
A/C Programmer
PS Hoses
All new suspension Bushings and new control arms

Yes, it happend to me with a '81 4000 5+5 and an '87 5000CSQ.

Hard to believe it will happen again one day with my A8L. But we all know it will.
