Default 1989 200 Cranks but wont start

A day ago it was raining really heavy and my 1989 200 10v Tq was driving fine. I unavoidably drove it through some pretty deep puddles. It was fine almost all of the way. Then I went through about 2 inches of water at a stop sign and it stalled out on me and would not crank again. I thought I had hydrostatic locked the engine. I went through the process of pulling the plugs and seeing if water came out when I cranked it. No water at all. Which I see to be a good thing. The plugs are all back in and the engine will now crank but will not turn over. I am not getting any spark. There is no water in the distributor and the plug wires are clean. Any and all inport would be greatly appreciated as this is my daily driver.

Side note, when this is done and fixed, anyone in colorado down for a good old audi meetup?

Are you sure there's no spark, or just guessing because it doesn't fire? Are you sure you're getting fuel?

Have you verified that you are getting spark to the wires and fuel? If not I would start with that, if you are getting spark and fuel check timing ?

Just an Update! I replaced the ignition switch and all is well and fixed! Apparently if the switch is starting to go out it will sometimes cause ignition not to work as a security measure. Basically it acts as if the key isn't in there and shuts it down.
