G002000 is Pentosin 11S.

Similar, but not exactly the same operating temperature range, oils are made by most of the oil companies. Mobil has DTE 13M. Chevron's is Rykon Premium 32. Shell's is Tellus 32T. Each of these is available in something like a five-gallon pail for a price per gallon that will be less than buying a quart of Pentosin.

Is there an equivalent Rykon, Chevron oil, etc., for Pentosin 7.1 ?

Default Just get a 55G drum of Telus 32...

That's what we do at work, and sometimes we use 1.5-2 on a single truck ;-)

Default Oh, call up a local oil supply company, they'll have it in small quantities.

BUT beware that bulk oil is generally not filtered as well because of the storage containers. We have a hand pump with a spin-on filter before the oil goes into the truck's reservoir. You can get fine mesh filter paper/screens to make sure clean oil goes in to your reservoir.

Default You don't NEED 7.1

When Audi went to Pentosin 11S, they said it was backwards compatible with 7.1, meaning you could use 11S wherever they'd used 7.1 previously. So Mobil/Chevron/Shell near equivalents to 11S should work wherever you'd want to use 7.1.

Compatible as in....I can just top up the reservoir ?....or would I need to flush out the 7.1 and then go from there ?

Actually G002000 refers to either 7.1 or 11S according to Audi TSB 1990

You can top up 7.1 with 11S, as I understand Audi's application of the newer one. I've had no problem adding Shell Tellus 32T to systems filled with Pentosin 11S.
