The Car: Audi 200q20v
The Question:
I just bought a 2 x 2 cable off ebay that the owner says is a genuine vag-com product (I suspect it would have a be an old one at that).
Has anyone used this connection? Do I need to worry about the red lead being connected to +12v?
Can I reset my airbag light with this unit and vag com?
Any help would be appreciated.
thanks,
Tom<ul><li><a href="http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4526061995&rd= 1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWN%3AIT">2x2 cable</a></li></ul>

I don't think you can reset the light but I'm really not sure. I was under the impression that all you could do was engine diagnostics, however it does seem a little strange that you can't enter the airbag function. Have you checked the Vag-Com website?

That the Ross-Tech ugly cable or one that looks just like it. Still, it should do what you need it to do. I do a lot of pre-OBD II cars so I bought the VAG from Audi for about $45.<ul><li><a href="http://www.ross-tech.com/vag-com/2x2.html#VAS">The VAG adaptor from Ross-Tech's site</a></li></ul>
