Default 200 20v cuts out

just replaced timing belt, water pump, idler pulley, valve cover gasket, throttle body gasket, spark plugs, fuel filter, fuel pump. And now the car cuts out. and it doesn't do it every time. Some days it will only cut here and there other days all it does it cut out usually around 10 pounds of boost. any ideas of what it could be?

The first thing I would check would be for any vacuum leaks. If the engine has a bad oil leak, lose valve cover this will cause a no start or stalling condition. The crankcase has to be completely sealed. The oil filler cap could also have a lose or bad gasket.

I can't seem to find any vacuum leaks. And it doesn't look like its leaking any oil any where everything feels tight. The turbo is blowing some oil but it was doing that before I replaced that stuff. I've read it could be the plug wires too does that sound like it could cause that?

Check your fault codes and timing marks. Also remember to check SJM and Chris Miller's page through webarchive. Here's another one not sure it's got cure to your problem but good none the less. Sounds like sometihng with your WOT switch is a miss check via multi meter.

so i was on my way home the other day and the passenger ball joint blew apart! So i just finally replaced both control arms. And finally got a chance to see if i fixed the cutting out problem turns out that it had a few boost leaks, big ones. I fixed them and one was the oil cap. so i got one at an audi dealer. The car ran fine for a day and started cutting again so i tested it again and the oil cap was leaking bad. So I put the old one back on and it works alot better but still leaks. Is there a better oil cap out there?
