200 20VT Fuel Cut questions
Hi,
I am looking to get a 1.8/1.9/2.2 bar wastegate spring for my 200 20V. I want to do this so the car has a more linear boost pressure as my car does hit 1.8 with the ECU control but it is not linear across the rpms and it is normally at 1.4 or 1.5 at high rpm's. I am still on the factory ECU and would like to keep it that way.
My question is at approximately what boost pressure will a 20V have fuel cut issues? What is the ~max pressure I can run with the factory ecu?
I found lots of information for 10V's but not much for the 20V's.
Thanks.

Fairly certian that the pressure transducer that is stock in the ECU is 2.5 Bar. so I'd offer that 2.2 is the highest that you can get away with without the ECU going WTF...

well, I tried the 1.9 bar spring and the car just fuel cuts constantly under any kind of loading...oh well. Is there any easy way to get rid of the fuel cut without having the ECU chipped?

The original spring is already installed back in the car. Just seems rediculus that a car that runs 1.8 bar stock would fuel cut at 1.9 bar and actually with the new spring it was fuel cutting at much lower then that and even before 2k rpm. It must have FC programed with respect to RPM (silly). I don't want to chip the car so I guess it is going to stay as is, I don't want to mess with the ECU internals. Unless of course there is an easy way to get around FC similar to Japanese turbo cars. I keep hearing of a fuel pump relay mod, what is this exactly? Along with removing the fuel cut, does it also not shut the pump off if the engine stops running with the key in the on position, I would assume yes?
