5000cs quattro brake conversion
Hi ,
I would like to upgrade my brakes on a 1987 5000 cs quattro .
Please let me know if bigger brake rotors and caliper would fit this car from newer audis like A6 or S6,S4 . Basically what is the best way to upgrade brakes without spending a fortune .
Thank You everyone !

Adding unsprung weight is bad for business.
Installing good pads and vented rear rotors from an avant is a good move. The stock brake setup is maxed out in the front for 15" wheels. If you want to use newer OEM parts you're not going to find them cheap, unless you can get to a U-Pick and convice the desk guys its from a VW. Oh and you'll need to fabricate an adapter to space the new caliper farther out from spindle. Big question I have is how much brake can the stock master cylinder push effectively... Damn you Newton!
