ok alittle update on my problem starting, i unbolted the cold start injector and put it in a cup, pushed up on the lever plate with the pump going and crank the car, no spray at all. I found a massive vac leak so for mean time i just push the plate for testing the injector, i have heard there is wiring problems sometimes with these, how does the wiring thing work or any suggestions please? Thanks

You need to check the thermoswitch which controls the time the CS valve remains open. Check SJM website or Bentley for procedure.

And on the MC motors, CS Injector is controlled by the ECU.
On the other hand, the cold start injector isn't the only thing required to start cold.
Mixture richening (WUR) has to be working correctly too..

The CS valve starts the car and quits when the key is released, and then the WUR takes over and keeps the engine running. ( I think this is the way it works). Once the engine is warm I think the CS will no longer operate.?

If the engine was just started and is not up to operating temperature, then the CSV will act as a 6th injector when running at WOT (wide open throttle). Once the engine has reached normal operating temperature this feature is turned off.

Trying to find where this is referenced. I don't believe that CSV works at all after the car has started. It has a hot start activation and a cold start activation controlled by the ecu. I have a lot of documentation of the 5000cstq and have never heard a reference to the CSV being used during acceleration warm-up. I couldn't find a reference or test for it in Bentley, no reference/test for it in Probst or reference/test in any Bosch manual on CIS. Warm up enrichment is controlled by the Warm-up regulator once the car has started.
CSV have a bad spray pattern and uneven port entry spray under boost. I remember from my vw days, the old GTI used CSV to add fuel under WOT, but that was not carried forward to the type 44 Audi 5000 series. IIRC, the 5000tq uses warm up regulator function with baseline duty cycle of 50percent before closed loop operation.
Hard start at the beginning of this thread is usually not the CSV. Fix your vacuum leaks first, CSV tests are done with the car temp cold. Leave the car overnight, then pull the CSV put in a container, and hit the starter, you should get fuel.
