Jerry Tunin

It appears as though my 5000 has no 2nd gear. From what I can tell by going though the gears and shifting manually is that it just goes from 1st to 3rd. If I go to the floor in 3rd it never finds 2nd on the downshift either. It almost acts like 2nd is just another Neutral. Would this maybe be a band, or servo? I don't hear/feel anything when trying to engage 2nd in any form or fashion.
