Default 86 audi 5000 CS TQ - Rear Brake Issue

All,

Changed out rear brakes a month ago. New pads, scuffed rotors, cleaned and greased pins, piston went smoothly back into the bore.

a few hundred miles later, drivers rear brake is grinding; Pads down to nothing!

Pulled apart again and installed replacement pads.

E-Brake has not worked in a few years. If it looks like the e brake is jammed, how do I release the cable to relieve pressure?

Could also be the the MC (master brake cylinder) is the brake only dragging when the engine gets hot? If the answer is yes then check the MC. This is a known problem and you can do a search to find out more and ways to check it.

You need new e brake cables, this is very common problem with Audis. They rust inside the cable sheaths and then they are stuck. Blaufargnugen(spelling may be wrong) has them. Also check the actuators on the calipers as they sometimes rust internally and get stuck so you may have two problems.
