my 87 quattro 5000cs turbo's alternator belt keeps loosening. I will tighten it up to where it should be then a few weeks later, depending on how much its driven, it will loosen right up and cause the battery to not charge properly...Did or does anyone have this problem and have a solution to it....?

against the toothed plate. This bolt can be difficult to tighten all the way.

I wound up replacing the adjuster bolt, and put on a couple of lock washers to fix mine..
