Default 87 or 80C Thermostat?

I have an NF engine. Which thermostat should I use, the 80C or the 87C?

Well, I've been using an 80c in the 87 5k and it runs nice and cool (about 1/3 up on the gauge on the highway and no higer than 1/2 wayup with the fan on in traffic). This is with a new radiator, water pump and heater core so the flow is really good. I used an 87c for a while but it ran between 1/2 and 3/4 all the time. Just my experience. Good luck

Thanks! Does that mean they both fit?
