Default Re: How did you made the determination?

How did you made the determination that it is bad?
May be you need to bleed the system and put in fresh oil?
May be something else is wrong.

Default Bleeding...........is it the master cylinder.......or the Pentosin reservoir....

that is bleeding? If mc, I bought a cheap rebuilt from Autozone that works just fine. Pretty easy to self install.

If Pentosin reservoir (hydraulic brake & P/S assist) that is over flowing, then it is the pump that has has gone bad. Pump will need to be replaced.

Default I made one out of a MTB innertube

I cut the tube across, clamped one end closed, clamped the other end to the brake reservoir. Pump up the tube, you have gentle pressure on your reservoir. Bleed, check reservoir, refill reservoir and tube as needed. I used a latex tube I had handy, better with a heavy-duty rubber tube for more pressure. It didn't have nearly enough pressure for my Landcruiser, but my several synchros and quattro and several brother's quattros benefited from the invention.
