So I went on a road trip (~150 miles) and while I was out of town, I remote started my car. A few minutes later I entered the car and was getting ready to go and the oil symbol flashed on my display. Within not even a second of seeing this, I shut the engine down. I checked the level, it was approximately 1/4 qt low. I then restarted the car and topped the oil off shortly therafter, and have yet again to see the low pressure warning. Here's something I noticed though:
I seem to recall the oil pressure at idle usually approximately 2bar. It now registers approx 1bar. Am I recalling incorrectly? What's the typical idle oil pressure you guys are getting on a warm engine at idle?
Another thing I considered is that since the AC was on, the compressor could have enguaged, causing a momentary drop of pressure, and triggering the sensor. I'm kinda lost at the moment. Does it sound like my oil pump could be failing? I wouldn't think it should be triggering the low pressure sensor w/ such little oil lost. Any ideas?

on the driver's side. My guess is that one of those sensors has gone bad. That happened to me one time. Replaced the sensor that was giving a giving me trouble. That fixed the problem, should fix yours too.

I'll look into replacing both oil sending units and the temp sensor, for good measure. The temp guage does work. I did notice it got kinda hot on the trip back at one point, but I was going up steep grades w/ AC on, and the coolant temp was also high (approx 50% as registered on the guage). I know the oil guage and its sensors are still working to some extent. It will still rise when I rev the engine. Ah well, I'm sure those sensors can't be too expensive, thanks for the helpful advice!
