91 200 20V codes

Ok guys, looking for some insight. Getting ready to flush fluids and do a tune up on the car (plugs, cap, rotor, etc). I ran the Codes and got 4. Researching all the forums, most people mention various starting/idling issues with G4/G28 issues. My car starts, idles, runs beautiful (knock on wood). Cranks over first time and is very smooth. I haven't noticed any issues driving it since I bought it in Nov.
So question is when I do the service, is there anything I can look for / test to confirm any of the codes? I will check the connections, but is there anything else? I guess I'm just **** and want to see "Zero Codes"![Smile](https://www.audiworld.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Thanks!

Thanks Scott,
I have. The Speed sensor is the only one currently showing..although I haven't driven it too much between checks. I was going to give it a few days of regular driving during the week and recheck. Just planning for a major tune on Saturday and was trying to add some things to the list to check while I was flushing the system.

did you run the codes with the engine off? if so, try them again with the car running. usually, the ecu throws the engine speed sensor code because it can't detect it when the engine is not running.

yes...I have cleared the codes a couple times and driven around for the past week or so. Left the car on as well as on and Running and the same two codes. I also spoke to the previous owner and he said he had trouble starting the car during hot summers when the engine was warm.
Looks like the speed sensor is around $200, but can't find a part number or anything or the IAT sensor. From reading it's not a plug/play sensor? Requires cutting and resoldering wires correct?

The engine speed sensor can be found on Ebay for $35.00. The IAT. however is a seperate story - is 034 905 379 B
from Impex is $140.60 and looks to be a "OEM" part -meaning they are getting it from the dealer. Yes it has to be cut and re-soldered.

Thanks again Scott. I'll keep an eye out for the Engine Speed Sensor on Ebay. As far as the IAT, I found one of the Audi wholesale places selling it for $118..which is better but wasn't expecting a $140 part
