91 200 rear window failure
Looking for group wisdom. I have simultaneous failure of both rear window functionality from both front and rear switches. (Other windows/sunroof/both cigarette lighters work fine) I have determined all switches are fine, front lockout switch if functioning properly and both rear doors have power and ground to switches. bentley mentions self resetting circuit breakes for the windows but I can't find a location. Any ideas welcome.
thanks
Mike

I think that the self resetting circuit is in the windo relay and not likely to be your problem.
My guess is that you have broken wires in the drivers door jam in the rubber accordian thing.
Search the forum for lots of discussion on this common problem.

I agree with TonyJ
I think that Tony's suggestion is a good one. I don't have a schematic nearby, but I think that the driver's switches are effectively in series with the rear doors' switches -- there is in any case some interlocking of the driver's switch and the switch in each of the other three doors.

I have schematics if you need em...
I am currently working on my rear power windows too. I think I have bad regulators... I too have power to both switches, but they don't go up or down?! So, I have some good used regulators on the way, hopefully that will solve the problem.

Re: I have schematics if you need em...
If they are above and beyond the bentley diagrams I would love to have them, as I am trying to draw up my own.
Most people say look for a bad wire in the drivers door, but if all power and ground circuits in the rear check out, than it should be something else. (pulling the drivers window switches and rear switches just to check continuity should not be too hard) If I get my rear doors as far aopart as yours, it would be easy to check regulator function, just throw 12v at it. As it is a DC motor, just revers the leads to check function in both directions.
