? about wheels spacers for V8
I have R18 8J ET38 wheels with 225/40 tires. How we know even original wheels with ET35 in the front of the car visually seems a little bit inside.
Idea is to install spacers ONLY in front, but what width ????. What is Your opinion ?? Maybe I came with stupid idea ?? :-)

You asked for opinions, OK.......
... I think 18x9 BBs LM ET 32 with 275/35's would pretty much say it all!
But if you run an 8mm spacer that would bring the front out better.
Those 225/40's aren't rite, they should be 245/40... but I really do not like 8 inch wide rims...
255 tires would be to wide for an 8 inch rim IMHO.

I know that 255 tires would be to wide :-)) but why You don't like 8 inch rims ?? originally were 16'' and 17'' rims 8 inch wide as well .
otherwise if You say, that 18x9 BBs LM ET 32 with 275/35's would pretty much - it explains to me a lot :-)))))
And if I will put let's say 8mm spacers only on front wheels, is it will be OK for all chassis and driving conditions ??

here's what I run
215-60-16s on 16x7.5" ET23 wheels with 25mm spacers front 20mm rear in winter.
265-35-18s on 18x9.0" ET35 wheels with 5mm spacers in front for summer.
I'm thinking 20mm front and 15mm rear may be good though you should buy the 20s first and try them on front and back to see how they sit, then decide if you want to do 20 front and 15 rear or 25 front and 20 rear.

Re: here's what I run
Maybe I don't understand whet is ET......
My rims has ET38, (original ET is 35) and how I understand, the bigger ET - rims goes more inside. So if I will use spacers 20mm then: 38-20=18 and compare with original 35-18=17mm. it means that they will be 17mm more outside when original size wheel.
Am I right ?? ?? If yes, is it not too much ??

Your math is correct
An 8.0" wide wheel with a final offset of 18 will sit right where my 9.0" ET35 wheels with 5mm spacers sit. I do have occasional light rubbing at full lock but your 225s should be a bit smaller in diameter than my 265s so you should be a bit better off.

I just think that if we were only talking about 16 inch rims 8 inch is plenty wide
enough... but once you start going up to 17's 18's I like an 8.5 inch wide rim. Just able to put a wider tire on an 8.5 inch rim than an 8 inch rim.
I have 16x8 Urs4 fuch rims 40et with a 225 tire. I run a 10mm spacer in front & 5mm in the back & they look good.
As far as the LM's... I run an 18x8.5 with 35et with a 255/35 tire. I use 10mm spacers in the front & none in the rear.
You have to remember that the rear track of the V8 is wider than the front by 5mm from the factory.
You know what would look hawt as hell Gedis...... a set of those Euro only option Bolero rims painted a Matte or Flat Blk to contrast your cars color!
& how's the BBK's comming along? & how you likeing the coilovers? What do you have them set @ hight wise?

Re: BBK's & coilovers
BBK's are in progress. I have the right adapters drawing for Brembo calipers (345x30mm) from S8
'99-'03. Just still looking for the left caliper 4D0615107D. Coilovers for winter time are set at the front max high, at the rear somewhere in the middle. Cann't say that the car became more stiff, but more stable that's for sure.
