Also having an ABS braking problem. Pedal feels like the ABS is kicking on when leaving the condo community...although i'm going less than 10ph. Slight shudder feeling in the brake pedal. Checked the relay fuse, and connections at the control unit under the seat. Fluid levels check out ok too.
Symptom stops when i turn the anti-lock off on the dash....but then there's the stupid cluster light to deal with.
Figure i've got a wheel sensor going bad, but no trouble codes seem to deal with this.
Is there a way to figure out which one is bad without tearing them apart one by one ? (you know its always going to be the last one you check !)
Thanks....

Yes but you'd need the bosch (unobtanium) ABS-II system tester. its very simple to just ohm out the abs sensors. (shoud be 1K Ohm). The rear two connect under the lower part of the rear seat. the front two are in a clip on the frame rail (each side). Just in front of the plastic when well liner (next to the brake pad wear sensor).
Also there is a freightliner (heavy truck) replacment abs sensor that works - don't buy the OEM ones, the replacments are only $35.00 NEW!.

Please tell us more about a Freightliner (heavy truck) replacement abs sensor.
My 5000CSTQ has different ABS wheel speed sensor mountings, and new ones are hard to find and pricey. Always looking for suitable replacements.

The part number is an Arvin Meritor (Rockwell, WABCO) of TDA/R955341.
The sensor and the connector are correct for the car, but the length of the lead is super long (so what). They also do not have all the little hold it in place rubber things. BUT they work and fit perfect and are super cheap (comapred to OEM).

There are currently two dealers that have it on special cost per sensor $40.71.

Yep, the R955341 sensor kit is a WABCO 449 032 814 0 sensor with a 1.8 Meter lead. A WABCO sensor with a1M lead is 449 032 809 0 (kit part R955336 and the shorty (about 1 foot) is a 449 032 808 0 (kit R955335) These two kits a very common semi-trailer parts and are easily obtainable an any trailer parts place. Fleet Pride or Traction Auto are nation-wide. Also any Great Dane Trailer service center, Utility Trailer dealer or service center, Wabash Trailer parts & Service, Aurora trailer parts center will have them. Other trailer service parts places too such as those servicing Timpte, Wilson, East, Fontaine etc.
ALL of the above sensor bodies are identical only the wire length is different.
