Default ahhh, the BMW 325ix. what a wannabe

History of the 325IX - In the wake of the Audi Quattro and its rally success, many manufacturers adopted four-wheel drive to its models. BMW was not interested in Audi's progress in the rally scene, but when the press and the public cried out for more, BMW changed their mind.

Default Re: ahhh, the BMW 325ix. what a wannabe

I had one, but it was an automatic. If I had my choice for a 4kq and a 325ix, I would have chosen the 325ix. The only reason why i got rid of it, was because it was an auto.

Default also....

1986 full time All Wheel Drive offered on certain models, the part time system available through 1989.
1987 Subaru offers All-Wheel-Drive (awd) automatically varying the power delivered to wheels (Audi's Quattro system introduced in 1980).

http://www.cars101.com/subaru/subaru_history.html</a

Default careful... and this is the US market info...

this is off that same web page you cited:
"

I suspect there weren't many changes between '75 and '76, thus only a few are noted here. If you know of any please email.
Corrections, help welcomed.

Transmssions: syncromeshed manual 4 spd, manual 5 spd, Automatic 3 spd (not avail in Califonia: 5spd manual, automatic)
Suspension: 4 whl independent

Default 4wd isn't AWD ; - ). Plus since their own website distinguishes AWD/4WD in '87

1987
The Subaru four-wheel drive system evolves into All-Wheel Drive.

https://forums.audiworld.com/4000/msgs/106899.phtml</a
