Default Air (Bypass?) Hose

Well another thread from me... Can we say *sigh*

It seems that this Air (Bypass?) Hose which connects from the T Breather Valve, which sits below the Idle Stabilizer, to the (i believe) Air Filter. Its a 3.24-3.5 inch rubber hose that annoyingly for me corroded along its full length.

I have been at Audi Dealerships three times now and aside from rude service (as soon as i mentioned the age of my car) to constantely wrongly ordered parts I have had no luck so far. It seems the dealerships database has no idea what this hose is or is called (none of their schematics show ANY of the 84-87 engines as is) Does anyone know that hose and part number? i am ready to go crazy as this hose needs to be fixed asap as it can allow dirt into the engine and needless to say thats a bad thing.

Thanks for the help

Philipp

I can make a picture of it tomorrow but it is rubber. Basically its coming of the T Breather Valve under the Idle Stabilizer. 3.5 inches approximately wide the length well is tougher to describe. I'd say about 30-50cms.

Thanks for your help.

Hmm yeah your right 3/4of an inch sounds about right. Did this one connect the t to the air filter or something in that area? also is your T actually a t with 3 outlets or 4? (i have a 4 right now and have been looking for one with three outlets)

Thank you

That sounds about right as far as the hose itself goes. Is there anyway I could get that from you?

The T breather on this 5000s is hard to find because it has the stabilizer holding ring... (major part that is driving me nuts even though the current solution for that part works).

Thanks
Philipp
