Are all 90 quattros have a 5 cyl 20v turbo engine???

Ugh, do you mean model year 1990 or Audi 90?
The only cars that came with the 20 valve turbo engine in the US were the 1991 200 20v turbo quattro, 1993+ S4's and S6's...
The Audi 90 quattro did come with a 20 valve naturally aspirated 5 cylinder engine in 1990 or 1991. I forget which year...

I donno what to choose buying a 20v engine and putting turbo on it or 10v turbo engine which would be cheaper to get more power frow, but might be not enough power? whats the maximum hp i can get from 10v turbo......hmm but then i wouldnt get quattro only fwd:-( what to do, what to do.....help me power genius!:-)))

I know i can buy a 90 quattro and then do a swap but i dont think i can afford it:-) I have to buy a 90 20v quattro and throw 20v engine out to put 10v nah thats too much work but if i but a turbo its still 1200$ + intercoller+labour+whatever else is needed and its 3000$ already and then someshing small goes wrong and i would have to pay more and more... whew Did anybody do that before or its just crazy me...? How much would a swap labour cost? I donno we need a chat here or somehing cause its kinda serious hing to consider:-) Please anybody help me, if u got any links any information on power increase please share:-)

Just FYI there were NO turbo 80/90s
check this link. he swapped a 10v turbo from a 5000 turbo into his 90. it's a pretty straightforward job if you have a 10v 90 to start with.<ul><li><a href="http://www.80tq.com">http://www.80tq.com</a</li></ul>

U know i heard somewhere or saw at some site that there were about some thounsands of cars audi 90 or something like that, which came with 20V turbo engines, donno some special models or something...

I am very serious about choosing the car cause it is my money! And i dont want to buy so piece of .... and spend money for nothing with 130HP:-(
I want to have some long term but enjoyable project wich can lead me to better car than i have and then i would be able to sell it for money that i spent on it. So the engine is the key to my future! So far i decided to get 90 quattro and the turbocharge it!!! I will buy a car for about $3000 and then spend $2000 to turbocharge the engine! and thats it, but if turbocharging wouldnt work out i will still have 174HP 20V engine, and AWD! which is not too bad:-) What are u driving btw. Did u think what would happen if u would want to sell ur car? Not many peopl want 5000 or 200 nowdays just because if their body, and thats true!
So what do u think bout all that:-)

1990 and 1991 US-Spec Coupe quattro and 90 quattro's had the 2.3L 20v naturally aspirated 5 cylinder.
For other world markets, buyers got the S2 (2.2L 20vt Coupe quattro with either the 3B or ABY engine). Later available in Sedan and Avant forms, along with the ADU engine'd RS2.
If you want to build a 20vt based on the nat. asp. 20v, you'll need new pistons, at least a new inlet cam, more fuel, and other odds and ends. Converting the motor is "easy" but getting the electronics is the tough part. If you want a 20vt 5cyl, find a wrecked 200q20v or S4/6.
Otherwise, your option is to find an '86-88 5ktq or 89-91 200 (the '91 200 came with the 10vt in FWD form only AFAIK) and do an engine swap if you want an 80/90 with a turbo, and live in the US, Canada, or a couple other countries.
Max power for a mechanical (Stock) fuel injected 10vt is 250-300hp, range is due to who you ask, everyone has their own take on the 10vt.
Neither engine swap is for the faint of heart. Lots of wiring changes, some custom fab if you don't want to shell out the $$$ for factory bits, etc.
