Default Anybody see that ABT 300 degree cam...

that was on Ebay? It was a Abt composite 300 degree cam for any 5 cylinder car...

Hmmmm, I wonder what my car would run like with that in it...

Part Number Application Duration Lift Lobe Center Valve Timing
ECM 109 2133 2V 5CYL MECH. 306 14.5 106 47-79/79-47

Kinda tough to read, but thats a big cam...Takes solid lifters though (As would the Abt cam). They also have a 328d cam for the 8v engine, and a 312d for the 20v...

Now if you ran a high lift long duration cam like that would you get more power without upgrading the fuel system? You would get more fuel in the cylinders since the valves would be open longer, right?

The air flow plate is maxed out by around 4500rpm on cars with a chip (w/enough boost pressure) or lots of work done to them (which seems pretty typical for ANY Audi I've read/heard about, CIS, EFI, whatever). So no, you won't get any more fuel.

After reading about the MB/1B/2B mods on some UK sites, the limit of any Audi with factory CIS stuff is ~280hp (running a MAC12 with NO OXYGEN SENSOR!!). Only way to get more fuel in, is to alow the AF plate to flow more air. I think running a plate and fuel dist. from a large engined car (Porsche 2.7-3.3L F6 motor) would be the only way to do so...I've looked for used P-car fuel dists. and air flow meters to no avail. Maybe I'm just looking in the wrong places. It may be cheaper to just swap to EFI or Motronic than to find the needed P-car bits.
