Anyone know how to ... ?
Rebuild a P/S pump? I ordered the P/S pump rebuilt kit($10) today for my friend but since we both haven't done a P/S pump rebuilt before...i was wondering if anyone has any tips or/and instructions to provide? Is it very complicated? I have no idea how this whole thing will be done.
Any help will be appreciated. Thanks!

Re: no, worse than that...
if you read my post, from 2 days ago...my friend was in an accident (minor one)and after the accident, his almost new PS pump was all wet and he lost his power steering and power brakes all together. Now he needs to rebuild the PS pump.

Re: no, worse than that...
I blew out my brake side of the pump in an accident. Exessive brake pedal force popped it like, I dunno. engine bay was a mess, but i took that vs. having two ends crunched, and the one end has a euro bumper on it. Heard those hold up well in crashes ;-)

Re: Sad...
Well, mine popped cause it was a LOT of brake force with a large shock to the system. The first car was doing around 35mph, so the car that was hit and then hit me is a lot shorter now, and my foot was planted on the brake pedal cause I had no where to go except into the car in front of me. Did not want that to happen, and it didn't (was still pushed around 5' forward). I was the only car to drive away. Porsche brakes get very heavy at "around town" speeds when un-boosted, but on the highway feel very nice.
