anyone know where to get a downpipe ( exhaust manifold to cat con)
preferably in Canada ? I do have a drop ship location in Northern Vermont so can source from a US supplier as well. Mine is so rotten at the cat con flange end that it is not accepting patches welded to it anymore and I have a 2" x 2" hole in it since last week.... not great for compression and this car needs all the help it can get in the power dep't.
Local Montreal aftermarket (Bosal, Stella, Ansa) guys don't carry it anymore, SJM doesn't seem to either.
My techie found one local supplier but they want CAD 190.00 !
I'd happily settle for a used one in good condition but the local boneyards are no help in this case.
Thanks !

Did you check with blau? Granted it will probably be a bit expensive...why not just get one fabbed up by a muffler shop?

I would certainly be interested and thanks ... but wouldn't
the downpipe off a turbo be very different from that on my boring old S ? I don't know ****e from ice cream about turbo'ed Audis but I do have a turbo'ed BMW 635 on which I installed a 3" single pipe exhaust as the stock one would have strangled the turbo
BTW , do you Audi experts know of an equivalent to the BMW site RealOEM (see url below) for Audi's ? It's a great site and allows one to cross reference P/N's to see which models/years are compatible. Also has very useful exploded parts diagrams. The same for Audi's would greatly help duffers like me.

http://www.realoem.com/bmw/</a

Just gave Blau a tel call and they don't carry it either...but thanks
for their name as I did not know about them.
I guess it's just inertia & fear of the unknown that stops me from getting one fab'ed ...I've never done that and have always gone to prefab aftermarket. Wonder what it would cost and if the weld quality would hold up to our Russian Front roads in this town ??
