Hello to everyone again! I have a new problem with my 1990 Audi 100 and I was wondering if any of you could help me diagnose the problem. Last couple of times that I have been driving the brake light (the little light in the dash that says brake and lights up when you have the e-brake pulled up) is always flickering on and off. or just stays on the whole time. I checked my brake fluid seems thats up and at the proper level, I just had new rotors and the brakes bled a couple of months ago so this is very disturbing to have another brake problem. Im not sure if the pads were changed but would that happen if the brake pads were on their way out? I also do not feel any difference in brakeing than usual, feels the same to me. Anwayz any help would be appreciated thanks again!

Same with my 89 100q. Brake light flickers and comes on sometime. Off most of the time. I just changed front pads a couple weeks ago. Been happening ever since. Not associated with panic braking.
I have not properly bled the brakes yet since changing pads, and thought that might be the problem?

The red light is not related to the brake pads' sensors. Their sensors activate a light on the Auto Check system only.
Yes, the reason could be the bleeding problem or other pressure related problem.
If you have bad brake master cylinder (the part below your brake fluid reservoir) you will see this light ON and OFF and your brakes will feel weird (too soft/hard). You'll need to replace the part.
First, bleed the brakes starting from the wheel most far from the brake master cylinder. If you're not sure how to bleed the brake system, better let someone with experience do it or help you. It's important.
If brake light stays ON when car is just started there could be two reasons -
1) BAD "bomb" or
2) air in the system/not enough pressure (need bleeding/or new master cylinder)
Before anything else - make sure that brake fluid is at the maximum level!

...I have a Coupe 20v, and they sent me the wrong one. Now they won't take it back, so. If you need it, e-mail directly.
