Boost comes very strong @ 4k all the way to about 7.5K rpms.....

I heard of setups which utilized a direct port shot of nitrous oxide(and fuel) to overcome turbo lag.
Once the system detects positive pressure and/or a preset rpm, the NOS sytem is disabled and the turbo takes over.

Vizard's an engine tuner and author who has extolled the virtues of adding NOS to turboed motors to rid them of turbo lag. Most of his engine (Ford SOHC 2 liter, BMC A-series, small block Chevy, plus generic ones) tuning books contain at least one chapter on this topic.
He says that the NOS bottles last surprisingly long, since they're "on" for just seconds at a time.
I saw this done to a pretty outrageous Suzuki GSXR 1100cc street bike that dynoed at something over 300 hp at the rear wheel. (Mind you, even a stock GSXR, with maybe 140 hp to propel 450 pounds plus rider, will blow any Audi into the weeds.) The workmanship on this bike was superb: it looked stock from even a foot away. If you examined it closely, you saw that the fairing hid the turbo, the nitrous bottle resided in the seat, and the cantilever swingarm was a couple inches longer than stock to keep the front wheel on the ground during acceleration. Truly a sleeper. (A vendor used to bring his mobile rolling road dyno to Daytona each year and run a max hp contest. This bike, from South Florida, won the contest about 6 or 7 years ago. I don't know if he could add NOS + fuel while the turbo was at full boost -- he'd added the NOS to get instant launches. You need lots more hp than that now to win, but the bikes don't look stock.)<ul><li><a href="http://216.239.53.104/search?q=cache:NM-kj-3Ab-sJ:www.diy-efi.org/efi332/html_archives/archive_num_38/msg00066.html">http://216.239.53.104/search?q=cache:NM-kj-3Ab-sJ:www.diy-efi.org/efi332/html_archives/archive_num_38/msg00066.html<
