Breather hose?

Breather hose?
I am finally putting my car back together and there is a breather hose that is ziptied to the starter cables and it looks like it came loose from something near or on the starter but I can't figure out where it goes. Its about a foot long and doesn't look like anything hooks on the other end. Any Ideas?
Thanks

Seen this mystery hose before...
on my friend Scott's 200 TQ. It looks like a small black vacum hose right? Kinda dangles near the alternator/starter area? We couldn't figure out what it went to either. His car ran fine so we left it alone...

Oh, wait a minute, is that the one that Phil Payne used to refer to as the fuel overflow drain?
Does it come down from the airbox area? Phil used to say that here was a hose designed to keep the fuel from puddling on the intake manifold and becoming a fire risk.
Never really looked at it very closely so I'm not sure...

I don't think that is long enough to reach the airbox
Its just down ziptied to the starter-to-alternator wires and it looks like it was connected to something right by or mostlikely on the starter and the other end doesn't look like it was connected to anything. I guess I can take a picture of it later.

Yep, thats it....
the hose you described that is ziptied with the alternator wires is exactly what i'm talking about. It has no connection at the one end...
What does it hook up to on the other end? I don't know:0
Could be the hose Steve J. mentioned...
