broken hood latch cable

1990 audi 100 broken hood release cable. need specific instructions to open hood. thanks

Bent coat hanger

Bend the end of a clothes hanger into a very small hook. Using a flashlight, pass the coat hanger hook through the grille. Catch the cable near the latch on the driver's side and pull the cable while lifting on the hood. Then proceed to passenger's side. Lessons of a misspent youth.
