sources his stuff from china, I believe.
I recall a post years ago where he went to china and found these parts for ridiculous prices and thought about starting a business to import them.
I wouldn't be surprised if they are the same.
by ridiculous, I mean v8 style rear lights for $30 new.... ok I don't recall the exact figures but you get the idea of ridiculous.

FAW started making Type 44's for the Asian market while Audi was still cranking 'em out in Germany. When Audi dropped the T44, FAW requested that they keep the tooling and continue to produce the older body style. Waste not want not.

I wonder if they could or would sell their Chinese T-44 parts here in the USA? Our AW network could keep them busy with orders. Anyone call that tel number?
