Default Climate Contol Brain Replacement

I loaned out my Bentley's or I'd look this up.

How does one go about replacing the climate control controls? Do you simply pry off the trim piece and remove some screws or do you have to take the center console out?

Thanks!

Default pretty easy.

you have to pry off the climate control wood trim. that snaps off. then you have two phillips screws on either side of the climate control that you unscrew. pull it out now and disconnect the back wires and its done!

Default Which part of Climat Control is Oldsmobile?

I remember from posts a few years back that some part of the Climate Cntrol is the same as used by Oldsmobile. Does anyone remember what that is?

I've got black plastic trim. '89 200. I assume that it will work the same as the wood trim.

Thanks.

Many of the parts are from GM in general. Olds, Cadillac etc. It's a Delco part. The climate control head basically looks the same as in the early 80's Eldorados. (I actually owned a few of these)

And if you look at the blower under the rain tray, the resistence box says "AC Delco" right on it LOL

Default A few hex head screws on the AC programmer are fractions of inches (not metric!)

I'll bet that they're the only fasteners on the entire car that aren't metric.

Default Re: The whole unit. Easier to find on a boned early 80's Cadillac....

...I don't think Olds had the unit.
