Default cold start driveability problem

I have an 85 turbo with the KH engine.
It has been like this since i bought it 5 months ago.
Starts fine, idles down but i start driving and the engine bogs as if it is not getting fuel.
It only does it when cold, once it warms up it is fine.
I have replaced the fuel pump, fuel filter injectors(had 1 leaky one),checked for vac leaks, replaced 02 sensor, cleaned ISV,checked and cleaned the air temp sensor.
This car all runs gr8 except for that.
I havent taken any fuel pressure readings but i was thinking pressure regulator or cold start valve.
Has any of you encountered this problem.
Also tried all kinds of fuel injector cleaner to no avail.
Sure appreciate a hand with this one guys,
Thanks

Mine does this in my '86 with the MC motor. It seems like the computer retards the timing waaaaay back for no apparent reason, or it starves for fuel... but there's no ping like it's running lean. I've heard from a few people with typ44's that this happens to them too.

Ok,the lifters do sometimes rattle pretty bad and i've had the code "timing retarded as much as possible".But not under boost.
Possible fix ?
Disable knock sensor???
How??
Thanks.

Better oil filter and frequent change helps.

Default Check temperature sensors

Especially the ISV coolant temperature sensor. On later turbos it's a single terminal sensor that screws into the top of the upper radiator hose junction. I'd guess that the 85 turbo is the same.

Somewhere here or in Audifans or SJMautotechnik there's a simple plot of resistance vs temperature that this sensor should measure. To test yours, disconnect the wire to it and measure with an ohmmeter from its output terminal to ground when at room temperature and compare measured value with what it should be. Part cost from $tealer ~ $35.

Both this sensor and the intake air temperature sensor need to be within spec. I'd check the resistance of my intake air temp sensor as well. Again, search for desired R vs Temp values.

Sorry that I don't have desired values at hand.

Default Re: cold start driveability problem, mine too

My '87 has a slight hesitation when cold. Nothing major, but noticeable. It also has a varying idle when cold (note: cold is in winter approaching, not cold start in summer) idle goes up and down between 800-1000 rpm, then it settles out after a short bit. I was thinking of pulling the ISV and cleaning it up. Could it be the sensor related though?
