dash lights begone after resoldering speedo leads and jumpering from digital clock lead to chassis

to remedy turn signal and hi beam indicator lights on all the time when headlights on and dash illuminated. now, i got no ic lights or interior lights at all. wtf happened? any btdt?

Did you add a supplementary ground wire? If so, I suspect you may have soldered the wire not to a ground path, but the +12V side directly, thus instant short when you turned on the parking lights.
The fact that no interior lights leads me to suspect the fuse for these circuits blew.
Don't just replace the fuse if it did blow. Double check the IC work first.

double checked the ground jumper and sure enough it was on the + side. resoldered to neg (continuity is a wonderful thing when you don't have brain farts along the way), reassembled ic, replaced blown fuse and.............voila - no more speedo bounce and no turn signal/hi beam indicators when lights are on. all is good. thanks you again obi wan will. i just got frustrated and impatient
