Default doing a motor/transmission swap from a '88 5000 to a '90 80 Quattro
I'm wondering about the measurements on the 5 speed manual 5000 CS Quattro going into a 1990 80 Quattro. I want to put the engine, transmission and wiring harness from the 5000 into my 80. Has anyone done this? I need to koow if there are any mounting or clearance issues with this. I have images and blogs about what I'm doing on my Myspace page www.myspace.com/ericmongeur.

Default Transmission a no go. Wrong final drive....
No biggie though, the 5spd in your Type8A is up to the 10vt engine.
