Default door panel @#$!**!!!

I need to pull my driver's side door panel off to assist in replacement of the door latch. I have pulled the molded plastic part of the interior latch off, and removed the screws at the top left and right of the door panel, but can't get the panel to pull off. Bottom seems to be loose... top isn't pulling apart as easily. Help! Thanks...

Default Check

Check the two main bolts behind the doorhandle itself. Use a screwdriver to pry the leather patch over the handle you would use to close the door when getting in.

There's two bolts underneath it.

Default Re: Check

Isn't the top hooked over the window sill? there should be a lip to the top of the door panel. pull the bottom out, if everything else clears, lift the panel an inch.

Default if your car is a 5K, everything should be loosened.........

so that the panel is flopping where it hangs over the window sill. Be sure to unscrew and remove the door lock plunger, then pull the panel out and up over the threaded rod where the lock plunger used to be. The triangular plastic piece on the inside of the door (providing its a front door)opposite the door mirror needs to be removed. Gently push/pull and pry the triangular piece, be gentle because it has plastic fastners on its backside that hold it on. You don't want to break off the plastic fastners. Hope this info helps............Rooster
