I replaced my RATTY original seats with a great pair I found in a 91 Audi 100!
Now with my old seats, the passenger side seat heater worked, but no drivers side.
With the new seats, same deal (no drivers heat, passenger works fine.
I do hear a relay click when the passenger side turns on, but no click when the drivers turns on. Is this common to have a bad relay for the heated seats?

I had the same problem with my 90 100, turns out the drivers side heating element in the seat was broken due to many years of use. Try ohming out the coil inside the seat, if your meter does not give a resistance value, the element is broken...
