Fired up the old girl for the 1st time in 3 months.
Her tires were all low on pressure, the battery low on charge. After a bit of trickle charging, I gave the key a twist and she struggled to crank. But amazingly, the engine fired up almost immediately, albeit with a bad misfire. Fuel pressure hadn't built up yet, but once it did, all 5 cylinders were lit! The valve lifters were clanging away but it eventually subsided. Good fräulein!
But after 3 months, the bad radiator leaked away most of the coolant and the AutoCheck's red coolant warning actually did it's job. After several jugs of water, it was time to try to move her from her winter moorings....meaning 4 very rusty brake rotors! Took some throttle to pursuade her to roll. The loud metallic bangs made me cringe. Sounds like bolts snapping, like in "Das Boot".
I only got to drive her around the parking lot. With grinding rotors, and gasoline dribbling from a rusty fuel line, it wasn't prudent to try the streets. Even only after a few yards, while awashed in the red/orange glow of the instruments, I missed driving this PITA car.
It's time for her resurrection. She's going to need a lot of work, but boxerfan's boost posts has me all jealous. :-)
Feeling motivated again.

Roll up your sleeves and lets get to work
Good luck on getting the fräulein back on the road. Radiator isn't too bad BTDT. As for the gas line I would check to see how bad it is and perhaps just make a splice if the rest of the line is OK.
