Fog lights....87' 5000cs tq
In the fuse box there is an empty slot that says its for fog lights and i just wanted a little info on this. Is this for adding on fog lights yourself? Is there a wiring harness somewhere thats all ready for fog lights or something? I know that a lot of people with these cars put fog lights in replace of the blinker on the front bumper, but i don't plan on doing this, i was just wondering if it was easy to hook some fog lights undernearth the bumper or something. Any info or advice would be great. Thanks in advance.

You would have to go under the fuse box, setup wiring and run it to....
whatever location you wanted the fog lights. Fog lights came as a dealership option so ALL the fuse boxes are labeled, but unless you take a multimeter and actually see if that fuse slot is active, you'll need to do all the wiring yourself.

I just did this myself.
route the wiring as the instructions to the kit require except use the fog light/rear fog light fuse for the hot wire. your fog lights are then controllable when you turn your headlights on. if you want your fog lights on whether or not the headlights are on then do not use the foglight fuse.
also I put the switch on the side of the steering cover behind the steering wheel and routed the wiring through the rubber boot in the firewall. It's out of the way yet accessible. it is a very clean addition.

Audi Tom,
Real solution is euros, but a little pricier than fogliht/driving lights! Or, relaying the stock lights would provide some improvement. Would reccomend a bottom mount, this way if you decide to remove them at a later date you don't have holes in the top of the bumper cover..
