So we all know 4x108 wheels that are nice are hard to come by or pretty expensive for our older cars. So, I've been looking at Focus wheels lately. Seems these newer Fords use the 4x108 pattern, so I figure as long as the offset is within range, they should work, right? I keep finding cheap sets of Ford alloys, including a set of 16" ones near me.

same as the cougar wheels as well. they can be run on most 4x108 audis depending on the size without the spacers you're asking about in the thread below. some people have had issues with the center bore of the wheels being slightly too small for the audis, you can make this up by having a shop bore them out slightly or just slap em on and go depending on how close of a fit the center is. good luck

The three issues I always hear about with regard to Focus, Saab or Porsche 924 rims on 4x108 audi applications are:

1. Hubcentric vs. Non-hubcentric rims
2. Shouldering of the Lug Studs into Rim (w/regard to Saab)
3. They'll be a little loose on the hub - bore is 63.3 mm on Ford vs. 57 mm on Audi (per Audifans Lister Tihol)

Do a google search of Audifans.com com for "Focus" and you'll get a ton of hits.
