gettin dirty! more on my tranny woes
Well today i went ahead and i decided that the best idea was to combine both tranny's to make one good tranny. My day was VERY eventful.
11:30 - got outta class
12:00 - got home and got dressed to go drop my tranny .. it was COLD
<STARTED>
1:00 - i got my tools out and everything is ready to start.
1:45 - subframe off .. with some confusion at the control arms
2:45 - tranny is out, yay!
3:30 - i doodle around with the bad tranny taking it apart and exploring what its guts look like.
5:00 - took the tranny's apart and put them back together after many ... putting together .. then forgetting to add that one washer ordeals. Most of this time was spent cleaning the tranny with air intake cleaner.
so it got dark but tommorow i am aready to go in and put in the tranny ... WITH THE TORQUE CONVERTOR ON THE TRANNY ... so that i can get her finished tommorow.
so the question is now ... what do you get when you combine a 176k miles tranny with a 87k miles tranny?! 131k miles tranny?!
eh whatever as long as it runs! btw if anyone wants a write up .. i can do one but would need someone to host it.
