1989 200 quattro,sometimes when either cold or hot but mostly cold cranking but not starting,i can hear fuel pump and only starts when i press on gas pedal little more and engine runs kind of rough.Fuel pump replaced back in 2000. check valve in 2002. or 2003. used FPR in 2005.New fuel injectors in 2005.
Also rpm are going between 600-900 for about 5-6 times when engine is hot and then settle down.
Other than that car runs great,i never replaced O2 sensor since i bought it in 1996. i have 162000 miles on it.
I believe that my mechanic was adjusting CO and possibly something else near fuel lines before these problems started to correct rpm beint to low which caused car to stall when stopping,now i can't get in touch with him.

Check the decel valve if the engine dies while stopping.

For cold start problems check the CSV (cold start valve) that sixth injector on the intake manifold.

Car doesn't stall anymore when stopping since CO adjustment.Where exactly is CSV and what should i be checking?

CSV is at the end of the sixth fuel line from the fuel distributor. Check that it emits fuel when engine is cold.
