The inside silver reflector peice on my 84 500s headlight has stared to fade I heard there was some kind of paint or tape or somthing that would brightin this up. My question is if there is such a thing whats it called and where can i purchase it? Thank you.

on a set of Euro lights. Apparently it has worked quite well for him. The nice thing about the euro lights are that the lense's are removable so you can access the inside reflector...
On the lights you and I have(DOT style)the lense is not removable so there is no way to access the inside reflector. Sorry...I wanted to do the same thing.

But I agree with Tom, the 84's were standard small rectangular headlights (unless somebody upgraded 'em) and replacement would work wonders if the Hella/Cibie/Marchal E code replacements are used.
They are the ones that say "for off road use only", nudge nudge wink wink.

Ive seen other 84 5000s with the 2 light system but my car has the Euro light setup i guess with the removible lens caps. The Question still remains on weather there is a type of tape or paint of somekind that would restore this and whats it called?

Do you have the quad-light setup or the sealed composite headlight? I assumed the composite ones because you said the inside refector was bad?
If you already have the Euro's you can go to the Autozone type place and buy chrome tape and use that ala Steve J or have the reflector's professionaly chromed for around $60+ a side....
Hope this clears things up?
