Just got this car. New it before I bought it, but now I want to fix it. The heater blower is working, but it blows out cold air...even after running a while. Dont think its the thermostat. Heater core? Any other suggestions?

if the engine temp gauge issn't comig up to normal, the thermo stat would be a good guess. if gauges isnt' working, put you hand on heater hose after it is running awhile. if hose it hot, then next is the heater itself.
even with no blower, you shoould feel some heat comeing through as a result of the car moving forward. if you feel cold air coming (with or without blower) the temp regulating flap is not working. on audis, this is a little motor driven thing. take out your glove box and look at a control box. this is called the "programmer" and has a lot of colored vac lines on it.
in the upper corner (left, I think) is a little motor. watch the motor and gear thing while someone else adjusts the heat up and down. it should move. the motor could be bad or it could just be stuck. give the gear a little help and see what happens.
as for the blower, that is another story and somewhat extensive replacement. search for forum for a procedure.

my 86 5ks did the same thing. the motor behind the glove box operates the flap in the blower box assy to admit cold or heated air. my solution - assuming that it would be cold enough to run full boogie heat, i disconnected the control cable/wire at the flap on the blower box and removed the return spring. voila - lots, and i do mean lots of hot air. if it got too hot, i just turned off the climate control. primitive, but it worked.

No heat at all - V68 temp motor seems to work and the hoses to the heater core have same temperature
