Heated Seats
Well the cold weather is here and neither of my seat heaters work. The relays click when turned on but no heat anywhere. Is there anything simple to check before I pull the seat coverings off? My cold butt and I thank you in advance for any advice!

Re: Heated Seats
I'm in the same boat. I have power at the relays, and switched power at the relays, and I can hear the click when I turn on the switch....does this mean the relay is working? Or is the next step to find the wires from the relays to the seats to see if they have power?
thanks, graba

Here's the long version, but...
Below is the long version of how to do it, unfortunately in later posts they said that the soldering of the elements does not work (it simply creates hotspots).
You'll need to buy a new bottom element, but the rest of the instruction are on target.
Good luck.<ul><li><a href="http://www.audifans.com/archives/1999/07/msg00129.html">http://www.audifans.com/archives/1999/07/msg00129.html</a</li></ul>

Cheaper and faster than an element
Pick a Part price on a heated seat is $25.00 around here. The switch of seats takes about 10 minutes. The wiring terminal at the seat varies between the 5K and 1C/2C.
